When I read about the way in which library funds are being cut and cut, I can only think that American society has found one more way to destroy itself." ~Isaac Asimov, from his autobiography, I Asimov

Week 2, Thing #3
This turned out to be a bit more of a chore than I expected. I seem to be navigationally challenged. The blog is up and running without an avatar. I skipped it somewhere, and need to go back in, which I am finding to be a problem.

Week 1, Things #1 and #2
I am hoping that Web 2.0 will help me get my skills up to the next level in the ever-changing technology world. Technology presents challenges that include financial, time, and learning curves that never cease. Some things can be skipped, because change will simply wipe them out; others must be addressed in order to be able to "speak" to students and colleagues. Some of it becomes part of daily life.
I am encouraged about the "23 Steps" process--surely that is manageable.
Lifelong learning is a mandate for us all, no matter what our ages. I find that setting goals is my most difficult step, just as task definition is for research. Working backwards from product to planning helps me more than anything.
Thanks to Jackie and Connie for offering this opportunity.
